Our mission is to preserve and advance the quality of life in the community while promoting development in the areas of agriculture, arts, culture, education, environment, health, heritage, recreation and sports.


The Carberry and Area Community Foundation was established as a non-profit charitable organization in 1996. We serve the town of Carberry, and Rural Municipality’s of North and South Cypress. The Foundation is managed by a nine member Board of Directors who serve voluntarily without remuneration. To date we have granted over $812,500 since inception.

This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between Carberry and Area Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast.

Scholarships and Awards - Total $15,450

The Governor General’s Medal Awarded to the student with the highest academic standing based on grade eleven and twelve final marks at Carberry Collegiate Institute and is continuing in a post-secondary education program. $2,500
The CC Medal Presented to the best all-round student in the Carberry Collegiate Institute graduating class. A hard working student with a high average throughout high school, who spends a lot of time with extra-curricular and school programs, gets along with all students and staff and is continuing in a post-secondary education program. $2,500
The CC Staff Award Established by the Carberry Collegiate Institute staff to recognize a student with exemplary performance throughout his or her high school years both through academics and extra-curricular activities and is continuing in a post-secondary education program. $1,500
The Edith Bailey Memorial Scholarship Intended to encourage individuals graduating from Carberry Collegiate Institute to enter post-secondary education in the areas of theology, health care related fields, education, agriculture and/or music. $2,000
Applied Arts, Trades and Technology Award Awarded to a Carberry Collegiate Institute individual who will be pursuing their education in the fields of applied arts, trades or technology at a recognized training facility other than a university. $1,500
Carberry 4-H Beef Club Educational Assistance Award Presented to a graduating Carberry 4-H Beef Club member who is pursuing their education in a registered institution which upon completion provides the student with a degree, diploma or certificate. $500
Jack Lupton Memorial Scholarship Award Awarded to a Carberry Collegiate Institute individual who will be pursuing their education in the field of journalism or sports. $600
Don and Ruth Forbes Education Assistance Award Intended to assist a Carberry Collegiate graduating student who is pursuing their secondary education in the field of fine arts and/or business. $350
Edith Alice Stevens Education Assistance Award Intended to assist needy and/or disabled youth continuing in a post-secondary education program. $3,000
Carberry Masonic Lodge #29 Award Awarded to a member of Carberry Collegiate graduating class who has shown the most improvement through their Grade 11 and 12 years in combination with service to their school and community. The worthy recipient must be continuing in a post-secondary program. $1,000
