Mission
The Brokenhead River Community Foundation is a non-profit organization created to provide financial support to charitable, educational, cultural, and recreational projects which are beneficial to the community.
Description
The Foundation is lead by dedicated community volunteers who endeavour to administer and encourage growth of the Endowment Fund. Community grants, scholarships and bursaries are awarded to projects and groups that serve as many people as possible in a variety of areas of interest and need.

Foundation Funds
Community Fund – Smart and Caring | Our fund to support all areas of our community |
Beausejour Hospital and Eastgate Fund | Supports medical programs, equipment purchases and upgrades to facilities at the Beausejour Hospital and East Gate Personal Care Home in Beausejour. |
Education Fund | To support all areas of our local schools. |
Sports and Community Development Fund | Especially needed for sports that are being established but supports all areas of sport development, training etc. |
Elizabeth Schreyer Archive Fund | Originally established to create an Edward Schreyer Archive, it is more recently used to house the collection. |
Edward Schreyer Senior School Basketball Fund | In memory of a former player, the fund assists the team with related expenses. |
The Science Bursary | Awarded to a grade 12 student who is entering a science based program at a post secondary institution. |
2006 Winter Games | In support of local winter sports |
Robert Rondeau Curling Bursary | To support a graduate with their post secondary education, who has participated in curling. |
Four Schools Bursary | To support a local student going on to post secondary education |
Bursary Fund | To support a local graduate who is continuing on to post secondary education. |
Eric Lefko Fund | To support a local student continuing the education in the Agricultural faculty at the University of Manitoba. |
Youth in Philanthropy | To promote youth involvement in philanthropy. |
Michael Hamende Memorial Minor Hockey Fund | To support the Beausejour Brokenhead Minor Hockey Association |
